MUSICAL DIRECTOR

GEORGE SALMON

At the age of 3, George began learning the violin, which formed the foundation for his musical development. He studied Music at the University of Birmingham, specialising in Conducting, before obtaining a Masters Degree in Conducting, with distinction, from the University of Surrey .

 

In addition to SOCS, George currently serves as Musical Director of Phoenix Choir of Crawley, the Chorus of Our Lady of Lourdes, Lee and the London Philanthropic Orchestra. The latter was founded by George in 2018, raising thousands of pounds for a range of charities since its inception, including Parkinsons UK, Samaritans and the NSPCC.

George is also an in-demand bass-baritone and sings in the Sonare Vocal Quartet.
